Product Overview

A liquid hydrogen plant is a complex and advanced industrial facility whose core mission is to efficiently convert gaseous hydrogen into liquid form. Through a series of sophisticated purification, refrigeration, and liquefaction processes, hydrogen is transformed into a liquid at extremely low temperatures (approximately -253°C), significantly reducing its volume to approximately 1/800th of its gaseous state. This not only greatly improves hydrogen storage and transportation efficiency but also broadens its application range.

Advantages

Highly Efficient and Energy-Saving Process: Utilizing the advanced Claude method of hydrogen expansion, the plant compresses hydrogen into high-pressure gas using a compressor, which is then liquefied through cooling and expansion. Furthermore, the plant incorporates multi-stage pre-cooling technology, such as a propane chiller and liquid nitrogen dual-stage pre-cooling. Compared to a single-stage liquid nitrogen pre-cooling process, this reduces liquid nitrogen consumption by approximately 30%, effectively reducing overall liquefaction plant energy consumption and improving energy efficiency.

High-Purity Product Output: Equipped with a high-precision gas purification system, the plant can deeply remove impurities such as moisture, hydrogen sulfide, and carbon monoxide from hydrogen, ensuring the output liquid hydrogen has a purity of 99.9999% (6N) or higher, meeting the stringent hydrogen purity requirements of industries such as semiconductors, electronics, and aerospace.

Modular Design: The plant’s core equipment, such as the 20K liquefaction refrigerator and hydrogen expander, utilizes a modular design. This design approach facilitates equipment installation, commissioning, and maintenance, significantly shortening project construction cycles, reducing subsequent operation and maintenance costs, and facilitating flexible capacity adjustments based on customer needs.

Safe and Reliable Operation: Design and construction strictly adhere to relevant international and domestic safety standards, such as ASME, API, and GB. Multiple safety protection devices, including overpressure protection, leak detection, and an emergency shutdown system (ESD), comprehensively ensure safe and stable operation under complex operating conditions such as low temperatures and high pressures.
